Our Boy's Space // A Playroom Makeover

Tap...tap...Is this thing on???
Hi guys! I'm back!

As of last week, we will have lived in our new home for 2 years so I thought it was about time to share some of my favorite spaces/projects we've tackled so far. We still have a lot we want to do, but with two kids, I've finally succumbed to the fact that it's going to take some (more) time.

The very first thing we did when we moved in was finish the basement.  Here are a couple pics of what we started with... It's not a huge space so we had to be pretty strategic to make the most out of it. The entire basement is now divided into 4 spaces - the playroom, family room, storage space and laundry room. Since the playroom is my favorite spot, thought we'd start there!

And here's the finished playroom!
The walls are a light gray with a slightly darker gray berber carpet. We did a dropped ceiling as high as we could possibly go to with recessed lighting.

I knew I wanted as much toy storage as possible and this Ikea set-up has been working great so far! We love having a separate table or coloring and then a lower table for trains, trucks and cars to live. Eventually, I know I'll need a separate storage solution for legos...so I'm thinking once the boys outgrow the kitchen, it will live there.

I should also note these pics were taken before Nolan was born, so we'll be adding his
personal art to the walls soon!

Camp Graham!

Happy Friday!
A few weeks ago, we celebrated our son's FIRST birthday!  It was such a fun, bittersweet, day. There's nothing I love more than watching my son grow and develop into his personality,
but wow,  this was the fastest year ever!

I wanted to share some pics from our special day.  The theme was "Camp Graham" complete with woodland creature masks for all of the kids, a scavenger hunt, camping supply goodie bags,
and even a little hunting practice :)

Graham you are loved by so many!
The world is your oyster, my child.  Mom and Dad love you so much! xoxo
